DFS NFL Week 13 Cheat Sheet: Thursday Night Showdown Jaguars–Titans

The Titans and Jaguars will face-off on Thursday night football. While there won't be a lot of fantasy scoring, there are still some sleeper plays to consider.

For the first time in a few weeks, we have an ugly game on Thursday night between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennesse Titans. Both teams will not make the playoffs this year and one is also starting Cody Kessler at quarterback.

It’s going to be one of those games. While the “fantasy goodness” here may be limited, there is still an opportunity to win some cash.

As always for these one-game showdown slates, my picks will be more of tournament plays. I choose not to play cash games on these slates. My picks are also based on the players on DraftKings. Now, that doesn’t mean you can’t use the same plays I suggest in this article on similar contests on FanDuel or other DFS sites.

Let’s get into it.

Player to lock-in: Leonard Fournette

Leonard Fournette will be the player I plug into the captain’s spot tonight. He’s really the only player I feel comfortable rostering. During week’s 10-12, Fournette scored at least 20 DraftKings points in each game. He also scored five touchdowns over that three-game span.

When healthy, Fournette is going see a high amount of touches, especially with an offense that is starting their second string QB. He has also been involved in the passing game. Against the Colts and Steelers, Fournette had 56 and 46 receiving yards.

Expect the Jaguars to use him a lot in the screen game.

Sneaky GPP Plays: Ryan Succop and Josh Lambo/Taywan Taylor

The last time these two teams played it was a 9-6 final. I’m not counting on there being a lot of touchdowns in this one, so I will be rostering not one, but two kickers tonight. It makes sense because people will pay up for Marcus Mariota and Fournette.

Still, it will be difficult to fit them both in your lineup without having at least one of the kickers from this game.

Another way to be contrarian on Thursday is to fade WR Corey Davis and play Taywan Taylor. Davis has come alive over the last month, while Taylor has become more of a second thought in the Titans’ offense.

Last week against the Jets, Taylor saw five targets, which hopefully means he will continue to see at least five targets a game going forward. I expect Jalen Ramsey to spend most of his time on Davis tonight, so that is yet another reason to fade Davis and play Taylor.
