Analysis Bears Opinion

Bears vs. Eagles Wild Card Sunday LIVE BLOG

The Chicago Bears and Philadelphia are set to close out Wild Card weekend. Follow along here for live updates and instant analysis throughout the game.

Finally, the time has come: the Chicago Bears playing in a playoff game at Soldier Field. For the first time in eight long years, the Bears will take on the defending Super Champion Philadelphia Eagles in the last Wild Card game of the weekend.

Bears fans like myself cannot be more excited for the matchup. There has been A LOT of trash talk between the fan bases this week and that will continue long after this game ends.

TE Trey Burton who popped up on the injury report Saturday night will not play, but safety Eddie Jackson will suit up and give it a go. Obviously, the Burton loss hurts, but having Jackson back will give the defense even more confidence.

Check in on this post throughout the game, I will give my initial reactions to big plays and list some things I noticed after each quarter.

LET’S GO.

Halftime update:

What in the actual hell was that. That was one of the weirdest half of football I’ve ever seen. Hey, the Bears are up though so can’t complain too much.

Here are some quick thoughts:

-Trubisky is pressing, the last drive before half was good, but he can’t turn the ball over…like Foles.

-The Bears defense missies Eddie Jackson, who was obviously used as a decoy in this one.

-Floyd is coming up big, it’s obvious the Eagles don’t want Mack to be the reason they lose.

-It’s time to step up. If you’re the Bears offense, go up and score. Let’s go!
